Understanding our house rules

Welcome to 501 Independent Housing for Veterans. To ensure a comfortable and safe environment for everyone, we've established clear house rules and expectations. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with them. These rules are in place to promote independent living and respect among all residents. Our goal is to provide safe, affordable housing where veterans can thrive.

Key house rules

The most important things to know about living at 501 Independent Housing for Veterans are our house rules, which are in place to ensure a peaceful and respectful environment for all residents. These rules include:

  • 11:00 p.m. Curfew (Work Exception with Notice)
  • No Visitors (Food Drop-off or Pick-up Only)
  • No Loud Music Before 10:00 a.m.
  • Weekly Cleaning Required
  • Washing once a week

We require independent living to ensure our residents can live well together.

Ensuring a good fit

To maintain a safe and healthy environment, we strictly prohibit drugs and alcohol on the premises. This is the number one reason why some residents might not be a good fit for our community. We want to be upfront about this policy to avoid any misunderstandings. By adhering to this rule, we can ensure a supportive and drug-free living space for all veterans.

Appreciated aspects

Beyond the basic rules, veterans consistently appreciate the sense of community fostered by our clear guidelines. These rules create a predictable and respectful living environment, allowing residents to focus on their personal growth and well-being.
